We're always on the the hunt for good eats in central Arkansas. In our new blog series, Foodie Families, we'll share the latest news about Little Rock's family-friendly restaurant scene. Here are a few tasty morsels we've heard about lately:

The Pie Hole Food Truck: Fayetteville's loss is Little Rock's gain! This pie food truck is moving to central Arkansas the second week of June, and will serve up cake, cookies, and pies (of course). For more info, read Little Rock Soiree's full post here.

Baja Grill: Speaking of food trucks, the popular grill on wheels from Benton is now open in its brick-and-mortar location in Little Rock. Located in the Heights, you'll find Mexi-Cali basics on the menu, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, queso and guacamole. Check out Little Rock Soiree's full report here.

Heights Taco & Tamale Company: Heights residents will have yet another new neighbor soon, from the same folks who brought us ZaZa's, Big Orange and Local Lime. The Heights Taco & Tamale Company will take over the current site of Browning's Mexican Grill, a longtime staple in the neighborhood. Browning's will remain open through June, and the new restaurant has plans to open in late summer or early fall. Read more here.

The Hole Thing: As donut lovers, we're excited to hear that the eStem students behind this donut hole-focused venture are expanding their offerings. In addition to ordering batches of the donut holes through email (theholethinglr@gmail.com), you can expect to see more of the confections at The Green Corner Store and Copper Grill in the future.
