Happy Mother's Day! You deserve a fun weekend, a relaxing weekend, a weekend where you aren't shuttling kids from one practice to the next. 1) Disney On Ice: Rockin' Ever After at Verizon Arena: Rock out with a musical showcase featuring the hottest tunes and talent from some of Disney's favorite movies. Little princess lovers will be thrilled by popular characters from Brave, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. 2) 41st Annual Territorial Fair at Historic Arkansas Museum: On Saturday, your family can meet today's beekeepers, cheese makers, urban chicken keepers and backyard gardeners along with their pioneer counterparts. Guests can dance around the Maypole, walk on stilts, listen to the roaming fiddler, and make homemade Mother's Day cards. 3) Different Spokes Family Day at Old State House Museum: To celebrate the opening of the museum's newest exhibit, “Different Spokes,” the museum hosts the Arkansas Bike/Walk Summit and a day full of hands-on, family-friendly activities. Visitors will be able to view galleries of artifacts, historical pictures and video to learn the history of bicycles. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 10. For info: OldStateHouse.com. FREE!

4) MacArthur Park 5k at MacArthur Park: The 7th annual MacArthur Park race is Friday night. The race is for all ages, and includes a Dog Jog Family Fun Run (dogs invited, but not required!). All proceeds go to benefit MacArthur Park and affiliated programs. Race registration includes a t-shirt, a lawn party with food and drink and a goody bag. Prices vary. 5) Celebration Day at All Aboard Restaurant: Celebrate National Train Day and the third anniversary of the opening of All Aboard Restaurant. Your little conductors will enjoy train rides in the parking lot noon-2 p.m., gifts, and prizes throughout the day. The restaurant is open for usual food purchase, as well.
