The Dyslexia Project, a community organization based in Conway, will be joined by filmmaker and advocate Harvey Hubbell to host a screening of the documentary, "Dislecksia: The Movie" on Thursday, Dec. 19.

The film aims to strengthen public recognition of dyslexia as a learning difference, not a disability. The documentary is currently touring the country to screen in various cities and generate community discussions and support.

A Q&A discussion will follow the film, featuring:

  • Dee Dee Cain, MSE, College of Education, University of Central Arkansas
  • Kim Head of The Dyslexia Project
  • Mary-Margaret Scholtens of The Apple Group, Jonesboro
  • Rebecca Keith, M.Ed, school teacher, dyslexia interventionist, dyslexia screener
  • Harvey Hubbell, director of "Dislecksia: The Movie"

The film will begin at 7 p.m. at Hendrix College in Conway. The screening takes place in Worsham Hall in the Student Life and Technology Center.
