Think your Halloween costume is top-notch? Prove it! Several places around central Arkansas are hosting costume contests with a chance to win tons of cool prizes. 

Here are the contests you can enter:

  1. Goodwill's D.I.Y. Halloween Costume Contest:  Showcase your creative costume for a chance to win a gift card in Goodwill's D.I.Y. Halloween Costume Contest, going on now until Sunday, Nov. 3. Stop by your local Goodwill and see what treasures you can find for your costume. Mix n' match clothing and accessories-- from creepy, to funky to retro looks-- and create a silly, scary or outlandish costume. Then enter to win an $50 Goodwill gift certificate when you send us a photo of the Halloween costume you created from your Goodwill finds.   2. Boo-tiful Kids Costume Contest at Promenade at Chenal, 17711 Chenal Pkwy., Little Rock: Get those costumes ready for the shopping center's BOO-tiful Kids Costume Contest from noon-1:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 26). The first 100 Registrants receive a free spooktacular gift pack, courtesy of Walgreens. Click here to register now. Parents can enter children for a $2 donation per child that will go to support the Arkansas Rice Depot, a local organization providing families with food, diapers and much needed necessities every day. Three costume contest winners will be announced Saturday, October 26th at 1:30pm by vote provided from a judge panel consisting of three persons. Winners must be present to win. Get more information here.   3. Green Halloween Costume Contest at Green Corner Store: Go green this Halloween! Submit your “Green Halloween” costume photo online on facebook at www.facebook.com/EcoSocialEvents by the end of the day today (Oct. 23). Judging will be Thursday and Friday (Oct. 24-25). Prizes will be presented at 6 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 26) at the Green Corner Store followed by a parade just in time for A La Mode Little Rock, Halloween Harvest Edition, happening from 6-8 p.m. at the store and soda fountain. Prizes will be awarded for children, teens, adults and pets.
