Fall Foliage: Where & When To Catch Autumn Leaves in Arkansas

Our state is widely touted as a nature lovers’ paradise where a wide range of ecotourism opportunities abound. October is the perfect time for cruisin’ with your kids through Arkansas’ vast, border to border displays of magical fall foliage.
Significant color changes begin in late September and early October in Northern Arkansas and the Ozark Mountains and peak two to three weeks thereafter.
The Ouachita Mountain region and central Arkansas’ foliage display gets geared up early to mid-October. That region’s peak is a perfect segue for southern and eastern Arkansas’ brilliant display which generally peaks in early November.
What a great time for “fall”ing in love with Arkansas all over again!
