More than 16 million American children face hunger. All month-long, Mellow Mushroom, 16103 Chenal Pkwy., Little Rock, is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support "Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry" campaign by raising funds.

By dining out at Mellow Mushroom and ordering the bruschetta appetizer, Mellow Mushroom will donate $1 to the "Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry" campaign.

In addition to this in-store element, those that would like to donate additionally can do so at www.nokidhungry.org/mellowmushroom. Those that donate $10 or more will receive a bounce-back offer to use in store through Oct. 31 for a Half-Spiked Sausage Hoagie, chips and a fountain drink. For those that donate $25 or more, Mellow Mushroom will buy you this free meal, along with sending you a limited-edition Mellow Mushroom T-shirt once the campaign wraps up at the end of September.

In 2012, restaurants raised $5.9 million for the campaign—funds are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S.; create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need; support nutrition programs like School Breakfast and Summer Meals; and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
