A new show will begin its long run at The Joint Friday (Aug. 2).

The cabaret-style theater/coffee shop/bar, 301 Main St., North Little Rock, is gearing up for its upcoming production "Arkansanity," a sketch comedy show put on their very own The Main Thing comedy trio.

This original collection of comedy sketches and funny music all pokes fun at life here in The Natural State. One skit will feature the popular Fertle family from Dumpster, Ark., the subject of its previous plays, "Last Night at Orabellas" and its most recent "Weiner Day at the Rollercade," and as an added bonus, there will be a science fiction piece that was chosen as one of Saturday Night Live's best film shorts ever.

Guests are able to enjoy beer, wine, European-style coffees, snacks and desserts throughout the show at their table.

The show is for all ages and will be shown at 8 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night though Oct. 9.

Tickets are $20. For reservations, call the theatre box office at (501) 372-0205 or stop by The Joint at 301 Main St., North Little Rock.
