Thinking of heading out of town for Father's Day this weekend?

Catch some waves at the 2nd Annual Surf the Bay, happening tomorrow and Saturday (June 14 - 15) in Fairfield Bay, just an hour-and-a-half northwest of Little Rock.

Arkansas’ only water sport festival boasts two of the hottest and unique water sports in the country – FlyBoarding and WakeSurfing!

The super-fun activity FlyBoarding is the only way to literally fly above water. A water-powered jet pack gives you the feel of skateboarding – a first of-its-kind experience in Arkansas. And WakeSurfing debuted last summer at the first Surfin' the Bay where swimmers can catch big waves in fresh water with no rope or hard falls.

What's great is that professionals will be on hand at the water event to demo and teach these sports, as well as paddle-board kayaking and more.

Something else to add to the water sport activities will be live music, games, paddleboard and surf lessons, as well as a charity Poker Run on Saturday at the Fairfield Bay Marina, starting 9 a.m. Five marinas on Greers Ferry Lake will pull the hotly contested hand together. The cost is only $20 per hand to enter with payouts split between first place and the Fairfield Bay Animal Protection League.
