Families are invited to a grand adventure at The Arkansas Repertory Theatre this Saturday (March 23) during Little Rock Family Day at "Treasure Island, A New Musical."

In addition to seeing the family-friendly production -- a pirate-filled, sea-faring tale about young Jim Hawkins and his search for treasure -- inside the theater, attendees will also go on a real-live treasure hunt in the lobby.

Young mateys can follow their treasure map to find prizes from Wild River Country, The Purple Cow, The Wonder Place and The Knowledge Tree.

Then, stop by booths from Little Rock Family and Arkansas 4-H Center to decorate a pirate hat, color pirate-themed coloring sheets and enter to win more prizes.

The matinee performance will kick off with a pre-show discussion, and end with a chance to take pictures with the swashbuckling cast.

Plus, families can take advantage of kids half-price tickets for the afternoon of fun.

The festivities start at 1 p.m. and the matinee starts at 2 p.m. March 23. Click here to buy tickets.
