Remember our post at the end of 2012 about Chuy's opening a location in west Little Rock?

The restaurant will finally be opening tomorrow (May 7) after several months of high anticipation.

The Austin-based Tex-Mex restaurant with a personality as spicy as its food, is located at 16001 Chenal Pkwy, Little Rock.

For more than 30 years, Chuy’s has served quality Tex-Mex cuisine in a fun and vibrant atmosphere with eclectic décor complete with an Elvis Shrine, wall of local dog photos, funky art, metal palm trees and a hubcap-covered ceiling.

And it's especially known for its supreme offerings of fresh food with authentic family recipes from South Texas, New Mexico and Mexican border towns. Customer favorites include Stuffed Chile Rellenos, Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom Enchiladas and Chuy’s Famous Big As Yo’ Face Burritos. Flour and corn tortillas are hand-rolled all day on the authentic comal located in the dining room, allowing customers to experience the freshness firsthand.

In addition to its famous food and atmosphere, part of its philosophy is to give back to the local community. Chuy's teamed up with the Humane Society of Pulaski County and Camp Aldersgate in April.
