Next time you drink a canned soda or have a soup lunch courtesy of Campbell's, save the tab and recyle to help out a local charity-- the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

It is the time for their 2013 Pop Tab Program where the collection and recycling of pop tabs helps raise awareness and valuable funds to pay for families and children to stay at the charity home while a child is receiving medical treatment at the hospital. Support helps ensure that these families have a place to rest and cover together.

All you have to do is pull off the tabs from aluminum soda and soup cans and drop them off at the Ronald McDonald House, 1009 Wolfe St., Little Rock. You can drop off your tabs seven days a week between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Can't make it to the House? Take the tabs to your local recycling company and have them mail the check to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Get competitive! The program has also launched a 2013 Pop Tab Pandemonium Contest where schools, individuals, church groups or other groups can sign up to see who can raise the most pop tabs in a year. The winning group/individual will receive a special trophy and a prize. If you are interested in enrolling, contact Emily Piechocki at 501-978-3119 or emily@rmhclittlerock.org.
