Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute Auxiliary's annual Festival of Trees, starting with the Festival of Fashion Show and ending with Tux 'n' Trees, is going on Wednesday-Saturday (Nov. 6-9) at the Statehouse Convention Center, Markham and Main streets, Little Rock.

The festival, which supports cancer patients in Arkansas, will kick off with the Festival of Fashion Show with hors d'oeuvres and champagne from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today (Nov. 6). This year, they will be honoring Lila Ashmore as CARTI’s 2013 Fashion Icon and will be featuring the latest fashions from local boutiques such as Barbara/Jean, Beyond Cotton, Vesta's, E. Leigh's, plus tons more. Tickets are $50.

The focal point of the festival is Stroll Through the Forest, a display of 20 dazzlingly decorated trees. Hours are 1:30- 4 p.m. Friday (Nov. 8) and 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 9). Admission is $5 adults, $3 for children 12 and under. Bid on a tree and have it delivered to your home!

Other events include the sold-out Sugar Plum Ball from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 7), Festival After Dark, a casual evening with music by Dr. Zarr's Amazing Funk Monster and a silent auction at 7 p.m. Friday (Nov. 8), Breakfast with Santa with pancakes and entertainment by Brian Kinder from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 9), and Tux 'n' Trees, a black-tie evening with dinner, live and silent auctions and dancing at 6 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 9).
