Nominations for kids ages 6 to 18 will be accepted through March 15 for the Kohl’s Department Stores Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program. More than $415,000 in scholarships and prizes, ranging from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to $10,000 scholarships, will be awarded to young volunteers who’ve made a positive impact on their communities.

“The scholarship program provides Kohl’s the opportunity to recognize and reward deserving young volunteers who have committed their time and efforts to bettering their community,” said Julie Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “We are genuinely touched and inspired by the dedication of these young volunteers and feel honored to be able to recognize them by helping invest in their futures. Since the program began in 2001, Kohl’s has awarded more than 13,000 youth volunteers with more than $2.6 million in scholarships and prizes.

• Nominators must be 21 years of older
• Volunteers must be between the ages of 6-18 to be nominated
• Nominations must be made online at KohlsKids.com by March 15.

Prizes:

• Two nominees from each of Kohl’s 1,089 stores nationwide will win a $50 Kohl’s gift card.
• More than 200 will win regional scholarships worth $1,000 toward post-secondary education
• Ten national winners will be awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships for post-secondary education; and an additional $1,000 will be donated on their behald by Kohl’s to a nonprofit organization
