Fast, furious and totally unpredictable, the Clinton Chuckwagon Races are a thrilling conclusion to summer.

The action starts at 1 p.m. Friday (Aug. 31) through Sunday (Sept. 2) at the Bar Of Ranch, 2848 Shakerag Road, Clinton.

Around 150 teams will compete in different divisions for the title of National Champion.

In addition to three chuckwagon races, there will be musical performances by Darryl Worley, Restless Heart, Phil McGarrah & Runnin' on Empty, Kentucky Headhunters and Joni Harms.

Vendors of western collectibles, crafts, art, saddles and tack are set up throughout the weekend at the Western Trade Show.

The National Championship winners in each division take home silver belt buckles and share in over $20,000 in prizes that includes saddles, jackets and Chuckwagon Bucks -- prize money that can be spent at the Trade Show after the races.

Admission is $25 per day Friday and Saturday and $15 Sunday (children get in for half price). Bring a lawn chair and watch the action from the Ozark bluffs overlooking the valley where the races are held.
