Meet Legendary Track Coach John McConnell at Go! Running Saturday, May 8

There's a new running store in The Heights, and its official grand opening is Saturday, May 8. To celebrate, Go! Running is welcoming John McDonnell, the most celebrated Track and Field coach in history, to town. He'll be at the store from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.
McDonnell is the retired head coach for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks track team. He began as cross country track coach for the University in 1972 and became head track coach in 1978. McDonnell retired after the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Coach McDonnell boasts more national championships than any coach in any sport in the history of college athletics. He was named national, regional or conference coach of the year a total of 140 times and coached 23 Olympians and 105 NCAA individual event champions.
Go! Running is a great addition to the neighborhood, especially if you're a recreational or competitive runner. The store is well stocked with clothing, shoes, gear and experienced staff members to help you find what you need to become the runner you want to be. Stop by and check it out soon at 1819 N. Grant St. or call (501) 663-6800 for more information.
