ArtStart takes storytime to the next level by offering young art patrons a combination of storytelling, art looking and making. This month, the AMFA program will offer a lively reading of Eric Carle’s “A House for Hermit Crab” while taking a closer look at Judy Onofrio’s sculpture “Just Pretending.”

Winter Lights Around the World
This fest will start with an exciting virtual tour of AMFA. Then, explore your artistic and dramatic sides with activities focusing on light and shadow, like creating a shadow play and making a paper lantern. Cozy Touch: Supplies and instruction for projects and activities available for pick up in exchange for warm hats and socks to bring some warmth and light to those in need.

Arts on the Lawn
Each Saturday in March, AMFA puppeteers and artists will travel to parks to create engaging mini pop-up performances. These brief performances will be unique to each location as the puppeteers develop new storylines and build on reactions and ideas from the previous locations.
