Fun for the First Weekend of Fall
Welcome fall with lots of fun! We found eight family-friendly activities (plus a few more ideas) to enjoy the new season together.
Laser Safari at the Zoo
The Little Rock Zoo is putting the spotlight on fun with their new drive-in Laser Safari. This after-hours all-ages show features 30 minutes of the latest music, spectacular lasers and awe-inspiring graphic effects.
The Details:
When: Thursday-Sunday | 8 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 11 p.m. (gates open 30 minutes before showtime)
Where: The Little Rock Zoo | 1 Zoo Drive, Little Rock

Live Music Friday at the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room
This Friday you and the fam can enjoy food and live music. Grab your mask, the kids and order takeout from your favorite SoMa restaurant.

Arkansas Peace Week Mural Painting
Arkansas Peace Week will add two 7th Street Murals this year. "Patchwork Peace and Protest" will have selected youth from Little Rock working on it and "Love is Greater Than Fear" will be open to all ages to come and participate. Learn more here.

Tinkerfest Part 2: Tools & Tech
The Museum of Discovery played around with the 2020 Tinkerfest format. The result: four times the fun. Instead of a daylong celebration, Museum of Discovery has decided to present four smaller events to help keep participants safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Saturday is the second installment, Tools & Tech. Come get into the nuts, bolts and drills of STEM play.

Where: 100 block of Sherman Street just outside the museum’s main entrance

Pumpkin Patch Opening Day

Saturday Drum Circle at Bernice Garden
Come get your groove on at the Bernice Garden Drum Circle. Just bring your masks and your family — drums, chairs and hand sanitizer will be provided.

Arkansas Peace Fest
Arkansas Peace Fest is part of Arkansas Peace week. This in-person event will feature lessons for youth and adults to take concrete steps to counter societal violence. It will also provide sidewalk chalk art, crafts, free ice cream and snacks, music, and more for children and families.
