Each school district has issued updates to calendars, deadlines or requirements in the past few weeks. Pulaski County Special School District

*UPDATED* School Start: August 24 

*NEW* School Calendar: See PCSSD's latest proposed plan here. 

Instruction options: 

  • Option 1: Blended Learning

Students will go to school two days a week with three days of virtual learning. 

  • Option 2: Online Learning 

Students will learn remotely full-time. 

  • Option 3: Traditional School

Students will attend school five days a week — Wednesday will be a half day with lunch served. 

Mask Requirement: Students and staff are required to wear masks on buses and all indoor spaces. Social distancing will be practiced where possible.  

*Updated* Deadline to Choose Option: Deadline to fill out Final Report Form with their choice for next year was July 25. Results are in, and the district met their goal of about 50% in students in the classroom at one time.   

Quarantine Plan: The district will follow guidelines set out by ADH and ADE.

Little Rock School District 

First Day of School: August 24

  • Option 2: Traditional School

Students will attend school five days a week.

*UPDATED* Deadline to Choose Option: August 7, here’s the form to submit or update your selection. 

*NEW* Length of Choice: You will be able to reassess your choice after each quarter of instruction. 

*NEW* Pre-K Details: Pre-K tudents can only choose in-person instruction. Pre-K students will not be required to wear masks.

North Little Rock School District 

School start: Between August 24-26 

Instruction options: 

  • Option 1: NLRSD Virtual Academy 

Students will learn remotely full-time. 

  • Option 2: Traditional School

Students will attend school five days a week.

*UPDATED* Mask requirement: All students and staff are required to wear masks on buses and all indoor spaces. Social distancing will be practiced where possible.  

*UPDATED* Deadline to choose option: Register your student for the NLRSD Virtual Academy with this form. (Click here for Spanish). Deadline is August 5.
