COVID-19 Guide: Little Rock Zoo Reopening Plan
Little Rock families: our kid-friendly options are expanding. In addition to floating, camping, fishing, hiking and biking, you can add zoo-ing to your list. As with all family-friendly activities, going to the zoo will look a little different for the time being. We’ve got details for a fun + safe return to this family-favorite spot.
Important Dates:
-
Members-only opening: June 22
-
General public opening: June 29
COVID-19 Guidelines:
The Zoo is still all about learning about animals, conservation and having fun, but pandemic guidelines have added a few more things to consider before you head out:
Visitor Expectations:
-
Online reservations are required.
-
Guests are encouraged to social distance by following the Zoo’s new one-way footpath.
-
Zoo guests 10 and older are required to wear a mask.
-
Families can practice great personal hygiene by using the additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the Zoo.
Zoo’s Response:
The Zoo will also regularly clean high-touch surfaces and restrooms, plus their for-rent strollers and wheelchairs. Note: Café Africa, the gift shop, indoor animal areas, the carousel and train are closed until further notice.
Virtual Option:
For those who are not quite ready to return to the Zoo, the Zoo will continue to broadcast its 2 p.m. Virtual Safari Keeper Chats each Monday, Wednesday and Friday via the Little Rock Zoo Facebook page.
