Editor's Letter: Finding Fun, Naturally
I’m writing this letter in April. Real talk: It’s hard to guess what June will look like. But I feel safe betting that summer 2020 will feel a little different. Where I sit, many camps have already been canceled, and I have a sneaking suspicion that summer care programs, pool days and grandparent time will also be affected.
Much like the travel-themed plans for our May issue, we needed to shift gears this month as we put more subjects in our growing “Great Ideas for Later” pile. Someday, we’ll share grandparent camp inspiration, I’m sure.
You know what? It’s OK to take a beat and mourn the summer that won’t be.
But, there are still plenty of ways to have family fun this season:
- Families can still eat delicious grilled meals, and we have tips and recipes to get you fired up.
- Arkansas families will still have access to plenty of natural entertainment in our beautiful state. I cast my vote for fishing.
- And we’ll still celebrate Father’s Day. Great news: Arkansas dads are knocking it out of the park.
This summer, there’s one more thing that you can always count on: Little Rock Family is still dedicated to being a resource for busy parents. Have a happy June!
