I’ve been married to my college sweetheart, Rick, for seven years. We have a 3-year-old son, Rich, and a 3-month-old daughter, Emmie. We’re a young family that runs on coffee, grace and Thomas the Train.

Festive Haus is a happy place. It’s my “me time.” Time that I get to be creative and pour love and attention into every one of my client’s celebrations. I’m passionate about helping others find the joy of hosting and celebrating life’s milestones–big or small. I’m here to carefully plan and thoughtfully execute every event detail. When my clients are able to enjoy being a guest at their own party, I’ve done my job. Celebrating life through Festive Haus makes me very happy!

On Finding Balance

This is a constant work in progress. Over the years I’ve learned how much I can take on with Festive Haus while making sure family remains my first priority. I’m careful with booking my schedule in advance. If I know July is going to be busy for my family with school being out, I’ll book less parties and events that month. Like most moms, I don’t know if I’ll ever find “the balance,” but I’m getting better at the juggling act.

On DIY Party Planning

When it comes to decorating for a party, focus on fewer, more impactful decorations rather than embellishing your entire home. I recommend buying decorations that you can reuse over many years and multiple themes such as paper honeycombs, bunting and fans. These colorful, low-cost decorations are especially eye catching hung from the ceiling.

Favorite Local Restaurant

Oooh this is a tough one. I’m going to have to say Raduno. It’s our family brunch spot on Sunday mornings. A close second is The Pantry.

Favorite Can’t-Live-Without Beauty Product

In this season of life, I don’t go a day without using MAC’s Prep + Prime. It’s my go-to for covering up the dark circles that live under my sleep deprived eyes.
