Storytime with Beauty at Whole Foods Market: Enjoy a telling of a tale as old as time with Beauty, be enchanted by her performance of “Something There,” and get your picture taken with her afterwards! Second Saturday at the Little Rock Farmers Market: Head to the River Market Pavilion for the regular farmers market happenings from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. But, from 8 a.m.-noon, there's lots of extra fun going down, including the Lil Farmers Kids Club, live music, food demos and tastings and more! Boosters & Big Rigs at UA-Little Rock: Kids can get free dental, vision and wellness screenings at this annual event from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center. Attendees can also explore and touch emergency response vehicles, such as ambulances, fire trucks and police cars. Grizzly Birthday Beach Bash at the Little Rock Zoo: Grizzly bears Ann and Nora are celebrating early this year because they hibernate during their birthdays. Wear your tropical best to the bear plaza beach party starting at 11 a.m. for family activities. Cake and refreshments follow at 1:30 p.m. Regular zoo admission applies. Princess Mother/Daughter Makeup Workshop & Dress up Contest at Spec Ops Gaming Lounge: Moms and daughters can learn how to do their makeup to match a favorite Disney princess at this event for only $5! Meteor Shower Mania Lake Cruise at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Meet at Westrock Landing at Lake Maumelle and join a park interpreter on this guided lake cruise to learn about the stars and constellations while watching a slice of the annual Perseid meteor shower.
