The Museum of Discovery has gone to the dogs — at least for a day.

On Saturday, April 13, head downtown for the Dog Days of Science, a brand new event at the museum all about our furry, four-legged friends.

Attendees will get to learn about the canine family and the cool things dogs can do, such as detecting diseases, search and rescue, therapy and police and military service.

There will be lots of dogs at the event ready to meet you and demonstrate some of their incredible skills. Their trainers will talk about how the process works and you'll see training techniques firsthand.

The event is included in regular museum admission: free for members, $10 for adults and $8 for kis 12 and under. The Dog Days of Science goes from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and more details are available here.
