Kids Workshop at Home Depot: Pique your child’s visual arts interests with our hands-on workshop where you and your child can build an easel. Your young artist can display artwork from school or create a new masterpiece on the dry-erase whiteboard. Kids in the Kitchen at Hillary Rodham Clinton Children's Library: Kids in the Kitchen is nutrition class for students in third grade and older. The lesson is about 30-60 minutes and includes a physical activity and a food tasting or activity. The fun starts at 10 a.m. Click here for details. FREE!
Paint an Arctic Penguin at Painting With a Twist: Leave this family-friendly guided painting session with an adorable 12x12 painting of an arctic penguin. Registration is $25 per person and the class, recommended for ages 6 and up, starts at noon. Register online or by calling 501-410-442.
Audition Workshop at The Rep: The Arkansas Repertory Theatre will hold a free audition workshop from 10:30-11:30 a.m. for young actors interested in auditioning for The Rep’s 2019 summer student production of "Willy Wonka Jr." The camp is open to students ages 9-18 and participants should RSVP to Anna Kimmell at akimmell@therep.org. Eagle Lake Cruises at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Join park interpreters for a cruise on Lake Maumelle to seek wintering bald eagles and migratory waterfowl. Dress in layers for extreme cold and windy lake weather. Meet at the Jolly Rogers Marina at either 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 6-12. Living Nativity at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church: Celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings at the Feast of the Epiphany on Saturday from 6-7:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon-1:30 p.m. Listen to carols sung in both English and Spanish as you walk through the hills and town of Bethlehem to worship with the Three Kings at the humble stable where Christ was born and then enjoy music and refreshments.
