Thursday
Go!bbler Turkey Trot in The Heights: Get the whole family moving before you all stuff yourselves with turkey and pie and participate in either a 3-, 4-, or 6-mile run on Thanksgiving morning. Go! Running hosts the annual event, which benefits the Arkansas Foodbank. The run (not a race) is free to participate in and begins at Go! Running at 8 a.m. There’s no entry fee or timing. Second Annual Turkey Trot for Heroes at Outlets of Little Rock: Events include a 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, Wild Gobbler 5K and a Virtual 5K. Proceeds benefit Sheep Dog Impact Assistance’s Christmas Outreach program to assist the children of military, law enforcement, fire & rescue, and/or EMS families that are in need of assistance during the holiday season. Toys for Tots Hockey Game at Arkansas Skatium: Watch local talent face off in this one of a kind Thanksgiving event! Admission is a new, unwrapped toy that will be donated to Toys for Tots. The games starts at 9 a.m. Click here for more details.

Parents' Day Out at the Little Rock Zoo: Leave the kids to have their own fun while you dive into Black Friday shopping. Kids in kindgergarten through sixth grade can hang out at the Little Rock Zoo for games, exploration, projects and more from 8 a.m.-noon. Green Friday Hikes at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Join park interpreters for a peaceful alternative to Black Friday and go on a hike! Hike around the Arkansas Arboretum at 10 a.m., hike the 3-mile base trail at 1 p.m or hike Kingfisher Trail along the along the Little Maumelle River at 3 p.m. Click here for more information. FREE!

Santa Arrival at Outlets of Little Rock: Santa will arrive with great fanfare at Outlets of Little Rock on a fire truck at 10 a.m. to kick-off the magical holiday season. Enjoy free Cinnasweeties from Cinnabon at the event, which will begin near Nike Factory Store and then move to the Food Pavilion. Santa will be available for photos. Small Business Saturday in the River Market: This second annual pop-up style street shopping holiday festival will include existing River Market District retailers as well as local artisans and other small businesses set up in the parking spaces along two blocks of President Clinton Avenue from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The Downtown Little Rock Partnership will operate a beer, wine and mimosa tent just for mom and dad. Turkey Cupcakes Family Class at Art Is In Cakes: Walk through the process step by step to create adorable turkey cupcakes with the whole family and learn essentials for icing a decorated cupcake together. The class requires each person attending to register and purchase a ticket. Families will be grouped together and kids must be at least 8 years old. Registration is $45 per person. 2018 Northern Lights Festival in the Argenta Arts District: Head to downtown North Little Rock for the Christmas tree lighting across from Argenta Community Theater. Fall Foliage Hayride at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Jostle, bounce, and laugh your way across the fields and through the woods on a guided hayride followed by a warm campfire, stories, hot chocolate and marshmallows.
