Step outside the city to gain a better understanding of the complexities of hunger and poverty. Nestled in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, Heifer Ranch is a 1,200-acre production and educational farm.
What You Can Do
- Get your hands dirty working in our pastures and organic gardens.
- Experience the issues of hunger and poverty by staying overnight at Heifer’s Global Village — a collection of international homes modeling the countries where Heifer works.
- Learn about sustainable agriculture through our classes, including cheese making and soap making.
- Stop by the gift shop for unique fair-trade items from around the world and for fresh meat and produce from Grass Roots Farmers’ Cooperative and New South Produce Cooperative, both supported by Heifer.
- Enjoy a home-cooked meal in our dining hall.
