Fishing Friday at MacArthur Park Pond: Join educators at MacArthur Park pond for a morning of fishing, fun and activities. Whether it’s your first catch of the day, first of the season or first of a lifetime you will have an opportunity to get hooked on the thrill of fishing and being outdoors. Twilight Hike at the Little Rock Zoo: Join the Little Rock Zoo to explore the creatures of the night. Learn about owls, bats, frogs, and even the night stars! This program from 6-10 p.m. comprises of a night hike around the zoo and several other activities including a break for s’mores! Registration is required: $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Arkansas Travelers Play at Dickey-Stephens Park: Take us out to the ballgame! The Travs are playing at home this weekend against Tulsa. Friday's game starts at 7:10 p.m. and is followed by post-game fireworks! On Saturday and Sunday the first pitch is at 6:10 p.m. Sunday is a Praise FM Family Game which means that the whole family gets into the stadium for $10 with a church bulletin! Wiggle Worms Camping Fun at the Museum of Discovery: Wiggle Worms introduces children 6 and younger to science in a fun, hands-on and interactive environment! Ice Day at the Little Rock Zoo: Celebrate all things ice with the Snow Queen! Head to Cafe Africa as she entertains you with storytelling, singing and a meet and greet from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Zoo admission required: adults $12.95 and kids 3-12 $9.95. Click here for more information.
Melissa & Doug Toy Tinkerer Experience at Book Warehouse: From 1-3p.m., Book Warehouse at the Outlets of Little Rock is transforming the store into a Toy Tinkerer Workshop, where kids ages 3 and up become official Melissa & Doug Toy Tinkerers for the day, using the power of their imaginations to imaginatively combine four Melissa & Doug toys in order to create new ways to play! Children's Dining Etiquette Lesson at The Butcher Shop Steakhouse: During this two-hour lesson, your child will learn the basics of dining etiquette. The first hour will consist of learning the correct place setting, how to correctly pass around the table, menu etiquette and more. Then in the final hour, each child will order a three-course meal and put their new skills to the test. The meal and lesson goes from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and the cost is $49.50 per participant. Stargazing Cruise at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: View the stars while cruising around Lake Maumelle. A park interpreter will serve as your guide to discover stars, constellations and satellites in the night sky. Advance payment ($15 for adults; $8 for kids ages 6-12) and registration are required.
