McClellan High School was named for Senator John Little McClellan and was named an Arkansas Blue Ribbon School in 1998.

Scholarships

McClellan is proud to be in a district where we historically have the most National Merit Semi-finalists in Arkansas. McClellan seniors are among the LRSD students who receive $20 million-plus in scholarships, annually, to colleges and universities in Arkansas and across the country.

Honors & Awards

Annual Academic Signing Day honors nearly 100 district students with this criteria: top four in class, 4.0 GPA or better, National Merit Semi-finalists, Commended Scholars, National Hispanic Scholars and Gates Millennium Scholars.
