Home School Friday at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Join a park interpreter at the visitor center for a home school class geared toward children third grade and higher. Pre-registration is required. Delta Dental's Toothapalooza at the Museum of Discovery: Admission to this event is free when you use the passcode "Toothapalooza"at the ticket counter. Throughout the event, free dental screenings and fluoride varnish treatments will be provided and all children will receive an oral health kit containing a toothbrush, toothpaste and coloring book. Family Theater Workshop at The Studio Theatre: Families will get to share the stage together, using both improvisation games and scripted scenes. Get feedback from TST Artistic Directors Justin A. Pike and Hannah M. Sawyer and share your scene work with other families! Children should be age 6 and up and accompanied by a parent or other adult family member. Ballet Arkansas presents "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra": Part of Ballet Arkansas' children's series, this show introduces children of all ages to the joys of music education, and the beauty of classical dance. The production starts at 2 p.m. and is interactive and approximately an hour long. The show takes place at CHARTS Theatre at Pulaski Technical College and tickets are $20. Visit the website for details.

American Girl Sweetheart Party at CALS Terry Library: Bring your favorite American Girl doll (or any doll) to join in the fun with crafts and activities. The library will be serving hot chocolate and pink lemonade for all the attendees to enjoy. The party goes from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Click here for more information. FREE!

"The Snowy Day" at the Arkansas Arts Center: The play is based on Ezra Keats' childhood favorite books and follows little Peter in his discoveries through the freshly fallen snow and other adventures. Shows hit the stage Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. and Feb.  10 & 11 at 2 p.m.Tickets range from $10-$12.50. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.

Garden Brothers Circus at the Barton Coliseum: The circus is in town! This traveling show has been around for more than 100 years. The show features the classic three rings with breathtaking special effects. Enjoy spectacular stunts by motorcycle daredevils, acrobats, elephants, camels, clowns and more. Showtimes are 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday the 17th and  1, 3:30 and 6 p.m. on Sunday the 18th. Purchase tickets and find more information online.
