Curtain Opens Nov. 30 for ‘Mother Goose Christmas’ at Arkansas Arts Center
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Even at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre.
"Mother Goose Christmas" takes the stage from Dec. 1-17 with a pay-what-you-can preview performance on Thursday, Nov. 30.
When Memory comes to stay at the Piper house, Bella Piper and her Grandpa Andy are flabbergasted to learn that the girl has never heard of Mother Goose! How can you get to be 8 years old without learning about Mother Goose? Well, Grandpa Andy – Gandy for short – makes it his Christmas Eve mission to school young Memory in the ways of that great dame of nursery rhyme fame.
With Bella’s help and with the aid of a certain magic music box, the three set off on an adventure in Mother Goose’s Realm of Romp and Rhyme. It is in this fantasy land that Memory meets Mother Goose and all her nursery rhyme children. But more importantly, she learns that family may be found anywhere and that everyone deserves love – even her.
