Running a marathon can seem like an impossible feat — 26.2 miles is a long way to make it in just a few hours. But what if you had months to complete those miles?

To compete in the the Little Rockers Kids Marathon, kids walk or run 25.2 miles during the months leading up to race day and run the final mile as part of the Little Rock Marathon.

The Final Mile is an exciting special event where children run their final mile on the official Little Rock Marathon course. Participants get all the swag deserving of a marathoner including a medal, and finisher’s treats.

The Final Mile takes place on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at 11 a.m..

The goal of the Little Rockers Kids Marathon is to give children in first through sixth grades the opportunity to enhance their physical activity (by following a fun, simple running and/or walking program) while focusing on reaching a goal. Kids can participate through their schools, sports groups, church or at home with a parent. 

Online registration is $22 through Dec. 12 and $27 from Dec. 15-Feb. 15, which is the deadline to register. One parent can run with his or her child for $10 but will not receive a medal. For more information visit the Little Rock Marathon website and to register click here.
