Volunteer in Local Cleanups to Help ‘Keep Arkansas Beautiful’
We know you want The Natural State to look its best. So it's time to lend a helping hand.
Each fall, Arkansans can help improve their communities by volunteering in the Great Arkansas Cleanup, the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission’s (KAB) annual litter pickup and community cleanup event.
KAB cleanup efforts encourage Arkansans to take ownership of Arkansas’s scenic beauty, environmental health and quality of life. Many different activities are considered cleanups, such as painting murals, cultivating gardens and planting trees. All of this helps to create communities where people want to work, live, play and visit.
This year's program kicked off Saturday, Sept. 9 and will continue through October.
Volunteering in these cleanup efforts is a great way to teach kids about taking care of the environment and can promote a lifetime of recycling, picking up litter, and working to make Arkansas beautiful. Families can also volunteer together for a rewarding experience.
