19th Annual Youth Fishing Derby & Family Fun Day Event at Jacksonville Shooting Sports Complex: Lots of hungry fish are biting at the annual youth fishing derby in Jacksonville. Mile at the Clinton Presidential Center, Little Rock: This annual family fun run is just one mile long, but packs in a punch. There's an elite runners race, a half-mile for kids and The First Mile, a heat designed for newbies with zero pressure, just fun. Super Summer Saturdays at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock: Yes, those are giant bugs. Back for another year, this weekly summer special gets all ages involved with free educational activities, and this time they coincide with the center’s newest temporary exhibit, Xtreme BUGS. River Cities Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Willastein:  On Friday night, enjoy live music, a baggo tournament and fireworks around 9 p.m. Then on Saturday, 40 teams compete for the championship title in the fifth annual Dragon Boat races at Lake Willastein in Maumelle. Teams of 20 paddlers on long boats race all day Saturday while spectators enjoy food trucks, a kids area, music and fun on shore. This event benefits the Children's Protection Center.
