CARTI's Tour de Rock at the River Trail Station: CARTI's Tour de Rock celebrates 13 years as Central Arkansas' favorite flat-course ride, featuring the fastest Century in the South. Dad's Day at The Wonder Place: Dads share the learning and fun experiences of The Wonder Place with their kids on a special day. Each dad receives free admission with a regular-priced or punch card admission. Discounts cannot be combined. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. For info: (501) 225-4050, website.

Docent Tours at Garvan Woodland Gardens: Specially trained volunteer docents will be leading groups through Garvan Woodland Gardens' most beautiful landscapes, bringing attention each week to areas that are at peak for your visit. Zoobilitation Reading Series at the Little Rock Zoo: At this event encourages learning through reading at the wildest spot in town. First Saturdays at the Maurice with Cutwell 4 Kids at Maurice Boathouse in Hot Springs: Cutwell 4 Kids hosts a chance for children to express themselves artistically with a new program hosted the first Saturday of each month. Riverfest 40th Anniversary Celebration at the River Market District: Ticketholders to the Riverfest music festival are granted free admission. The celebration is a full day of family-friendly events, capped off with a performance by Morris Day & The Time at 7:15 p.m. The First Security Bank fireworks display at 9 p.m. closes the day out.
