From Legos to Harry Potter to gaming, it's time to take kids' interests out of the house and spark their imaginations with new friends and ideas.

CALS Con from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, is a free Comic-Con type convention hosted by the Central Arkansas Library System at the Main Library campus in downtown Little Rock.

Kids and adults get a swag bag at registration and can choose panels to attend from the schedule as well as fun activities all day long.

Harry Potter Crafts are set up from 1-3 p.m. in the youth services department. Another event that may interest kiddos is the LEGO Display and Open Build by ArkLUG from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Darragh Center.

There also a mini escape room on level 4 of the library from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and open tabletop gaming on the fifth floor during the same time.

The week leading up to the event, there will also be free CALS Con-related activities at CALS Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Avenue,

    Wednesday, May 17, at 6:00 p.m.
  • Fandom Quest Live Game Show
    Thursday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m.
