There may be rain in this weekend’s forecast, but you can be sure there are plenty of activities to keep your family busy. From Arts in the Parks in downtown Hot Springs to Rapunzel the musical at the Arkansas Arts Center, there’s something for everyone.

ArtWorks at The Rep: The event features live music, an open bar and appetizers from local faves. ArtWorks is an exchange program between visual artists and Arkansas Repertory Theatre. Theatre Workshops at The Rep: Classes are held at the Black Box Theatre. Prior to class, parents/guardians need to fill out a student release and liability form. Family members are welcome to wait in the lobby of the theatre during class time. Snacks and drinks will be on sale in the lobby and all proceeds benefit the Education Scholarship Fund. Brews and Parks at Diamond Bear Brewing Company: The cost of admission entitles participants to unlimited beer tasting from a variety of craft beer breweries. Participants are welcome to bring their furry friends on a leash, or come solo to sip the suds and enjoy the afternoon activities. All proceeds support the Humane Society of Pulaski County! The Reluctant Dragon at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas: The Arkansas Arts Center's Children's Theatre on Tour presents: The Reluctant Dragon. Arts and the Park in Downtown Hot Springs: A celebration of arts and culture, the festival includes a gallery walk, craft fair, studio tours, poetry readings, live musical and dramatic performances, dance, culinary arts, artist workshops and sculpture walks. Monster Jam at Verizon Arena: Monster Jam is the most action-packed live event on four wheels where world-class drivers compete in front of capacity crowds in both monster truck racing and freestyle competitions. 13th Annual Arkansas Literary Festival at Central Arkansas Library System's Main Library: The Festival is a mix of sessions, panels, special events, performances, workshops, presentations, opportunities to meet the authors, book sales, and book signings.
