ArkansasGives is back for a third time, and with a fundraising goal bigger than ever.

This annual day of giving has a goal of raising $5 million in donations from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6. The Arkansas Community Foundation hosts the statewide, online event with more than 930 nonprofits participating.

Although the giving takes place online, there are a few events around town where people can gather to celebrate, including a parking lot party at 11 a.m. at the CALS Main Library in downtown Little Rock.

There are many family-oriented nonprofits taking part in ArkansasGives including the Central Arkansas Library System, ACCESS, AR Kids Read, the Mid-America Science Museum, the Museum of Discovery and more. For more information, call (501) 372-1116; visit the website to make a donation.
