Benton's former Saline County Airport is now home to a brand-new River Center. The space will play host to city and state events and features a brand new senior center, convention center and an Aquatic Center.

The Aquatic Center features two pools: a competition pool and a leisure pool. 

The leisure pool features two lap lanes, a Vortex pool, guest seating area, ADA lift, ADA ramp, and a child's play area that includes an umbrella water fountain, slides and more. This area will be anchored by a two-story water slide that will take patrons outside the building before winding the way back inside, making it a perfect place for birthday parties. 

The competition pool is a 25-yard, 8-lane pool that features a climbing wall, diving board, water polo goals, ADA lift and basketball goals. This pool will be able to host large swimming competitions with the help of the 250-seat observation deck and will provide space for the River Center School of Swim, youth swim meets and pool parties.

The River Center itself will be open from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturdays, and noon-6 p.m. Sundays. Membership amenities include locker rooms, a gymnasium with four basketball courts or eight volleyball courts available to rent, an indoor track and a fitness room. The fitness room features cardio equipment, a full strength and conditioning circuit and free weights. Family memberships are available monthly for $35.
