Some kids just won't get off of their devices long enough to socialize in person, or even go out into the "real" world. Getting kids into a social situation while focusing on tech may be a good way to find some balance.

Amy Sanders Library hosts Teen Tech Week March 6-10 in order to attract teens and their love for technology.

Here's the schedule

  • March 6 at 3 p.m.: Paint intricate designs on repurposed CDs.
  • March 7 at 4:30 p.m.: Create musical intruments using Makey Makey technology and numerous everyday items.
  • March 8 at 3 p.m.: Create mixed media art with emoji themes.
  • March 9 at 4:30 p.m.: Create a dancing video game with Makey Makey technology.
  • March 10 at 3 p.m.: Play Wii games.
