SPONSORED: Episcopal Collegiate Announces Merit Scholarship Program for Rising 9th Graders
Episcopal Collegiate School is pleased to announce the launch of the Episcopal Scholars Program. The new merit scholarship program is open to rising 9th grade students and provides four-year partial- and full-tuition scholarships to attend Episcopal Collegiate School.
“With this program, we look forward to recognizing students with outstanding academic promise and leadership potential,” said Head of School David Perkinson. “We welcome students with a broad range of interests in and outside the classroom, including athletics, arts, and service.”
These awards are four-year scholarships that cover tuition only. Once scholarships are awarded, recipients receive support during their tenure at the school, provided that school rules and expected behavior are followed, along with the successful meeting of academic expectations.
“Cost should not be a roadblock to a talented student being able to attend Episcopal Collegiate School,” said Director of Institutional Advancement Matt Radtke. “We are looking for leaders and dedicated students who want to become fully involved in the total experience at Episcopal.”
Prospective scholarship candidates can be nominated by anyone other than their parents or current members of the Episcopal Collegiate School faculty. Nomination forms can be found on the Episcopal Collegiate School website.
Once students are nominated, the Episcopal Collegiate Admissions Office will contact them and request the application materials required to complete the scholarship application.
Other requirements include:
- Two letters supporting the student's nomination (in addition to the original nomination).
- An essay on a topic is assigned when the nomination is announced.
- An application for admission to Episcopal Collegiate, along with the required supporting materials must be completed.
Nomination criteria:
- Top 10 percent of class.
- Ninety percent average in his or her classes.
- Top 10 percent in national testing.
