Kids Can Participate in ‘Little Rockers' Marathon
The Little Rock Marathon is just around the corner, with registration filling up quickly for the March 4 event.
But the marathon isn't just for adults — in fact there's an entire segment of the race just for kids, including a special medal just for them!
The Little Rockers Kids Marathon is a fun running and walking program that children in first through seventh grades participate in through their schools, sports groups, church or at home with a parent. Participants run or walk 25.2 miles over a period of time, logging their progress.
Then on race day at 11 a.m., kids will complete their last mile on the official Little Rock Marathon course. As each child crosses the finish line, they receive their official finisher’s medal.
Online registration is $25 through Feb. 24, which is the deadline to register. One parent can run with his or her child for $10 but will not receive a medal. For more information visit the Little Rock Marathon website and to register click here.
