Santa Pete is a real bearded Santa who lives in Little Rock.

Santa Claus is making an early appearance at The Wonder Place to help multiple myeloma patients in Little Rock. Magical Moment with Santa Pete allows families to visit with Santa and raise money for Home Away from Home at the same time.

The event activities include selfies with Santa, music by The Kinders, from 6-7 p.m., baked treats, holiday card making and storytime. It goes from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Home Away from Home is a ministry of Little Rock Church that provides short-term housing to cancer patients and their caregivers while they receive treatment in Little Rock. Most of the guests are receiving bone marrow transplants or other cancer treatments at the UAMS Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy or the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, but the apartments are open to anyone coming to Little Rock for medical treatment.

Attendance is $10 per child with a $30 maximum per family. All proceeds benefit Home Away from Home. For more information, call (501) 225-4050 or visit www.TheWonderPlace.com.
