Museum Fundraiser to Include Scholarship Giveaway for Local Teen
Mid-America Science Museum will celebrate the past year with their annual fundraiser, Taste of the Holidays, from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 17 in the museum. The event is now in its 17th year and includes a silent auction, a scholarship ceremony, food, drinks, live music and last but not least, science experiments!
The $75 a head event makes for a fun parents' night out and the booze will flow, so plan your night accordingly. A cavalcade of food and drink vendors have signed up to be at the event. Emily Slay will receive a scholarship to aid in her pursuit of a biology degree. Slay is a Lakeside High School senior who plans to become a veterinarian. Guests can visit with the Slay family, who will be in attendance.
Live music will be performed by Jacob Flores and the silent auction will provide an opportunity to buy unique gifts. Parents can also get a little shock and awe from all of the cool science experiments put on by the staff!
If parents are looking to see what the Mid-America Science Museum looks like after the sun goes down, this is the perfect opportunity.
