Believe it or not, the weather forecast for the weekend is quite pleasant—sunny skies and above freezing temperatures! But, if you want to play it safe and plan some indoor family fun, here are our top five picks for weekend events. Gamers can compete in the Big Arcade Contest at Big Rock Mini Golf and Fun Park. Plus, an inventive new play opens at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and tells the origin story of Peter Pan!

"Peter and the Starcatcher" at Arkansas Repertory Theatre: In this swashbuckling prelude to J. M. Barrie’s fantasy classic "Peter Pan," the secret history of the Boy Who Would Never Grow Up is revealed. Based on the popular Dave Barry books, and mixing British pantomime with playful elements of childhood make-believe, this raucous adventure journeys into the forgotten realms of the imagination filled with mermaids, fierce natives, pirates and magical starstuff. Coca-Cola Collectors' Convention & Family Activities at Clinton Presidential Center: Join Ted Ryan, Director of Heritage Communications for The Coca-Cola Company, for a Coca-Cola Collectors’ Convention. Collectors can have products or memorabilia appraised and learn more about their treasures. Visitors will also find free family activities in conjunction with the museum's current temporary exhibit, Coca-Cola: An American Original. Visitors can "Recreate an Original," an opportunity to become part of Normal Rockwell's original paintings, "Out Fishin'" and "Barefoot Boy." Mommy and Me Sewing at Hobby Lobby Classroom in Little Rock: Learn basic sewing skills with your child while making cute coordinating scarfettes. Instructors guide participants through projects, step-by-step. The workshop includes: user-friendly sewing machines and sewing tools; introductory sewing machine lesson; selection of beautiful pre-cut fabric; guidance from experienced sewing instructors; and coordinating take home projects! Big Arcade Contest at Big Rock Mini Golf and Fun Park: Take your game skills to Big Rock for an arcade contest! Squirrel Family Tree at Central Arkansas Nature Center: Arkansas has three species of squirrel and several other species within the squirrel family. These furry critters are everywhere. Do you think you would recognize them if you saw one? Guests look at burrows, tree tops and all the places in between as we discover more about the amazing squirrel family tree.
