School's out, but Christmas doesn't come until Friday—now what?! If you've finished your holiday preparations and need some ideas to keep your kiddos busy, here are six fun events and activities happening this week!

Grinchfest at CALS Hillary Clinton Children’s Library & Learning Center: At this special storytime, Craig O’Neill will be dressed as the green meanie! Kids are encouraged to dress in a Whoville-inspired costume for the costume contest. Plus, kids will sample green ice cream from The Purple Cow, snap pics in the holiday photo booth, make crafts and sing the Grinch carols. 11 a.m. Dec. 22. Info: CALS.org. FREE!

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents: Santa Claus at River Market Pavilions: Santa Claus makes a special visit to the River Market to spend time with Little Rock friends and the legends from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey! See St. Nick's grand entrance and a short performance by Ringling Bros. After the performance, guests have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa and the performers, and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa. Holiday Break Fun Days at Heifer Village: Get out of the house and explore Heifer Village. Kids can make a craft each day, including Chinese Water Buffalo Lanterns (Dec. 21), Chicken Coups (Dec. 22) and Goat Ornaments (Dec. 23). 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 21-23. Info: (501) 907-8800, Heifer.org. FREE!

Winter Break Holiday Camps at Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs: Have fun, stay warm, and learn some cool things during holiday camps! Kids ages 8-12 can choose a morning session (8 a.m.-1 p.m.), an afternoon session (1-5 p.m.) or stay all day (8 a.m.-5 p.m.). This week's topics and dates are: The Science Behind the Season (Dec. 22) and Camp Animate (Dec. 23).
