After-School Activities: Community Connections Kicks Off Fall Programs for Kids with Special Needs
Central Arkansas is chock-full of after-school activities and enrichment opportunities for kids who have diverse interests and abilities—and children with special needs are no exception! In fact, Community Connections, a local nonprofit organization that provides extracurricular activities for differently-abled kids, will kick off its fall programs this Tuesday, Sept. 22.
If you haven't heard of the organization, you may not know that it offers a variety of programs, from theater to golf. All of the programs are adapted to fit the special needs of the participants, while giving kids the chance to be a part of a sports team or experience the arts, and make friends, too. Plus, all of the programs are completely free of charge to families.
This fall, the flag football program is expanding to include both Little Rock and Conway. Other fall offerings in Little Rock include music, golf, art, and theater. In Conway, kids can participate in additional activities, such as cheerleading and martial arts.
