For central Arkansas Razorback fans, this is a BIG weekend: War Memorial Stadium will be surrounded by tailgaters and filled with the sound of fans calling "woo pig sooie." Oh, and did we mention the game will be followed by a free Brad Paisley concert? (More about that below!)

But, luckily for the sports-averse, we found some fantastic events that prove this weekend isn't all about the Hogs. You can get out of town and drive to Harrison for the Arkansas Hot Air Balloon State Championship. Or, support Arkansas Children's Hospital at the adorable Superhero Dash-N-Bash. And who wouldn't want to learn about "Black Cowboys of the Old West" when Tommy Terrific is putting on a free and funny show?

ACH Superhero Dash-N-Bash at Murray Park: Grab your capes and running shoes for a fundraising event to benefit the Hematology/Oncology Department at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Everyone is encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero to complete the superhero-themed obstacle course, listen to music, nosh on food and bounce on inflatable attractions. At 10:15 a.m., attendees can participate in a memorial balloon release to remember special friends. And, from 12:30-1 p.m., celebrate with cancer survivors and their families in a 1K victory walk across the Big Dam Bridge. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 12. $30; ages 6-11 are $25; and 5 and under are free.
