5 Events for Weekend Fun: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Easter Seals Rollin' on the River and More
Shake off the first week of school with a little fun this weekend! The circus is in town—a few of the talented performers even stopped by the Little Rock Family offices earlier this week! Plus, Easter Seals Arkansas celebrates its annual family-friendly run and walk on the banks of the Arkansas River.
If you're worried about the weather forecast, there's plenty of indoor fun, too, including a screening of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and a workshop about catfish at the Central Arkansas Nature Center.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents "Built to Amaze" at Verizon Arena: Everyone’s favorite traveling troupe presents the show “Built to Amaze,” a circus experience that shows the audience what it takes to “build” the “Greatest Show on Earth.” The party starts an hour before showtime with the All-Access Pre-Show, which invites everyone to the arena floor to meet the performers. Pick up some new moves during the dance party, try on custom costumes, learn circus skills, like juggling from the famous Ringling Bros. Clown Alley, and more. When the show begins, families will witness superhuman stunts, basketball played on unicycles, aerial acts, trapeze & crossbow amazements and more. 7 p.m. Aug. 20 & 21; 11 a.m., 3 p.m. & 7 p.m. Aug. 22; 2 p.m. Aug. 23. Price: $21-$51. Info: (501) 975-9000, Ringling.com.
