Juneteenth is a nationally-celebrated holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. The original African American Emancipation Day was first celebrated in Texas on June 19 in 1865; now, annual Juneteenth celebrations across the country still focus on freedom, but also emphasize education, achievement and thinking towards the future.

Little Rock Family was proud to be the media sponsor for this year's Juneteenth held at Little Rock's Mosaic Templars Cultural Center on June 20, 2015. The day-long block party was filled with delicious food, fun games, talented performers, vibrant history lessons and so much more.
