Magic Springs Announces New Water Slides and Park Improvements
The countdown has begun: In less than two weeks, Magic Springs Water and Theme Park will open for the season! In case you missed the news, the theme park will open April 11 and offer discounted admission for the first few weekends (click here for more details).
The water park area, Crystal Falls, will begin operating splashy rides and slides on May 9--and this year, families will encounter a few additions and enhancements. "We will add children’s slides, including a 'bowl' type slide, where riders descend a drop into a round bowl and out the middle into the water,” Steve Honeycutt, general manager, said in a press release. "The new slides will be near the Crystal Lagoon area. We are also continuing to add shade in the area. This is a popular spot in the park, but it lacked attractions for small children. With the addition of slides and all the shade, it will be an even more popular spot for families to enjoy their time in the water park."
Another enhancement to the water park is added stadium lighting in the Crystal Lagoon to allow for extended hours of operation. The area offers great views of the fireworks shows that light up the sky each Friday night in July.
Patrons will also find more seating and new menu items in the Big Kahuna Cafe, a new swim apparel store, and three new luxury cabanas overlooking Crystal Lagoon. Visitors can rent the private cabanas for guaranteed personal space and additional amenities.
